Land As Beloved

$125.00

In ancient Celtic culture, the King would marry the land in a symbolic act of devotion. This deeply personal relationship with the Earth ensured devotion to Her guardianship. Join us for a land-based exploration of relating with the land as Beloved.

Land as Beloved is a day-long immersion into deeper relationship with the land. Our exploration will be held on beautiful private land with forest, meadow, stream and pond, at the base of a dragon mountain in the high Rocky Mountains.

Eco-grief ritual with Yarrow

The morning will be devoted to tending grief as a community. At this time on Earth, there is much to grieve related to the natural environment and the health of our lands. A ritual space will be facilitated for allowing grief and any other emotions that arise when we truly feel the current state of the Earth as sentient Beloved, and our home. Yarrow, as a plant that moves the waters of the body and heals wounds, will accompany us in tending our collective grief.

Medicinal and magical plant walk

A plant walk on the land will offer an opportunity to meet various native plant allies and learn about their medicinal properties as well as their magical and psychospiritual attributes. This will be a slower, relationship-based plant walk focused on meeting the plants rather than just learning about them.

Land-based practices for deepening relationship

How do we truly listen to the land and build a mutually supportive relationship? As we journey on the land we will have opportunities for practices of connecting with the land and the wild beings. Some practices will be guided, and you will also have solo time on the land for your own private communion.

Rose & Cacao prayer with the land as Beloved

We will gather in a guided prayer circle to honor and uplift our individual and collective prayers for and with the land. Rose and Cacao will support us, as medicines of love and eros. This will be an opportunity to open our hearts, express our devotion and enter into deeper prayer with the Beloved.
